A documentary about the Arizona Cardinals, produced by Netflix in collaboration with the SEC, will not be released. Netflix and the Southeastern Conference (SEC) have partnered on a new sports docuseries, but it focuses on SEC college football, not the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals. The seven-episode series, titled SEC Football: Any Given Saturday, premiered on August 5, 2025, and gives fans behind-the-scenes access to the 2024 college football season within the SEC.

The Truth Behind the Headlines

While rumors of a Netflix documentary about the Arizona Cardinals have circulated, likely fueled by recent controversies surrounding the team, they are unfounded. The Cardinals have recently been in the news due to their connection to a league-wide NFL collusion scandal, with both owner Michael Bidwill and quarterback Kyler Murray named in reports. However, there has been no announcement from Netflix or the Cardinals organization about a documentary project on this topic. The confusion appears to stem from the genuine collaboration between Netflix and the SEC for a college football series.

About the SEC Docuseries

SEC Football: Any Given Saturday, which is already available to stream, was produced by Box To Box Films, the same studio behind the popular Formula 1 series, Drive to Survive. The series provides an unfiltered look at the pressure, tradition, and emotion of college football’s most dominant conference. It features unprecedented access to players and coaches, capturing key matchups and the day-to-day grind of a Division I football player. The show has been praised for its ability to appeal to both die-hard fans and casual viewers, offering a captivating glimpse into the high-stakes world of SEC football.
