Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Milan Škriniar from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in a deal worth €29 million, subject to a successful medical. The 29-year-old Slovakian central defender has long been a target for Spurs, and the transfer is now set to be finalized after Škriniar flew to London to undergo the required medical checks.
Škriniar, known for his strength, leadership, and tactical awareness, has been a key figure for PSG since joining the club in 2023. However, following negotiations, both the player and the French club have agreed to part ways, paving the way for the move to North London.
The Slovak international has already ceased participating in PSG’s training sessions, signaling that the transfer is imminent. His departure from the French capital comes after a period of speculation regarding his future at the club, with Tottenham emerging as the frontrunner to secure his signature.
For Spurs, Škriniar represents a much-needed reinforcement in defense. Head coach Ange Postecoglou has been keen to strengthen his backline, and the addition of the experienced center-back is seen as a step toward improving their defensive stability and overall squad depth.
Škriniar’s arrival is expected to provide a significant boost to Spurs’ defensive options, with the player bringing a wealth of experience from his time in Serie A with Inter Milan and his recent spell at PSG. Once the medical is completed, Škriniar will be poised to join his new teammates and begin preparations for the second half of the Premier League season.
The signing also highlights Tottenham’s ambition under Postecoglou, as they look to challenge for higher honors both domestically and in European competition.
